We at Brahmanaad work in accordance to the rules and regulations formulated by our NGO. These rules and regulations also branches out to a committee. which conducts regular meetings and sessions so the management can assemble at a designated date and time and discuss both open house sessions and other meetings to resolve resolute and make decisions. The Committee is a standing committee comprising of Board members and non-board members (volunteer Board members). This committee reports directly to the President and all the minutes of the meetings and resolutions on matters calling for action by the committee is addressed by Secretary.
There is a total of 20 members, who are elected on the basis of their qualification,experience and contribution to our NGO. In accordance to Brahmanaad’s decision and terms of the NGO, its members are elected for a period of four years. Committee meetings are conducted bi- monthly, quarterly and annually and each meeting is chaired by the Chairperson.
He encourages the committee to adopt and accept the decisions by consensus. When need arises, the Committee members also decides on proposed proposals by a vote system, so there is no ambiguity. All decisions taken by our committee are considered to be sanctions, which are often in the form of draft consents callings for the action from the principal committee members. The follow up on the Minutes of the meetings (MOM) are duly actioned and checked in the next meeting and the updates recorded.
Our main tasks or role of Brahmanaad committee is as follows:
- Strengthen relationship and build platform for further development
- To influence all policy and monitor implementation
- To advocate new policy as and when required.
- Consideration of applications which requests consultation and explanations on actions related to Brahmanaad
- Adherence to the report submitted by the chief members in General and Special categories
- Implementation checks and provisions by designated members
- Monitoring of tasks and responsibly and their timely execution
